Perfect RNA™ and RNA Markers
Wide range of exact-size RNA markers, qualified for native or denaturing gels
We offer a variety of RNA markers designed for accurate size determination in many applications. Perfect RNA™ Markers, 0.1–1 kb are a mixture of seven defined RNA transcripts ranging from 100 to 1000 nucleotides in length. The markers have uniform band intensities and are spaced at even, easy-to-remember sizes. They are suitable for native or denaturing agarose or polyacrylamide gel analysis of small RNA, especially for RNase protection assays.

For convenient preparation of labeled markers, the Perfect RNA Marker Template Mix, 0.1–1 kb, is also available. The mixture contains optimized amounts of seven linearized plasmid templates, ready for transcription with T7 RNA polymerase. In the presence of appropriately labeled nucleotides, a set of labeled Perfect RNA Markers can be synthesized in one reaction. The Perfect RNA Markers, 0.2–10 kb are a mixture of nine defined RNA standards suitable for gel analysis of RNA under native or denaturing conditions. The markers are supplied at convenient intervals and easy-to-remember sizes. The size range of 200–10,000 nucleotides enables accurate size determination and quality analysis of RNA preparations and in vitro transcription products.

The original Novagen RNA Markers, 0.36– 9.5 kb, contain eight equal-intensity RNA bands. This popular mixture is useful for the same applications as the Perfect RNA Markers, 0.2–10 kb. RNA Sample Buffer is a convenient, premixed, formamide-containing sample buffer for experimental samples and Perfect RNA Markers. This sample buffer is suitable for native and denaturing gels.
